Nicole Dorsey is an award-winning writer-director whose work explores the emotional undercurrents of human behavior through visually arresting imagery and an evocative use of sound. Her debut feature BLACK CONFLUX premiered at TIFF and was named one of Canada’s Top Ten Films. Nicole earned nominations from both the Canadian Screen Awards and the Directors Guild of Canada, marking her as one of the country’s most promising cinematic voices. She directed the SXSW-winning thriller series SOMETHING UNDONE and sci-fi thriller BALESTRA for New Regency, and is currently adapting multiple novels in addition to her original work.

Originally from Toronto, she currently lives in Ojai, California.
